Business Development Manager – Fleet Sales - €75k OTE
 
Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Sales Director, the BDM will be responsible for contract hire & fleet management units, & rentals business. This role features a strong element of customer relationship management. The candidate must be inherently ‘sales hungry’ & who can exploit their exceptional sales skills with effective & successful results.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop new business relationships, generate and negotiate new revenues. 
  • Responsible for own lead generation and appointment setting and actively manage the sales process: lead generation; credentials pitch; solution pitch; negotiation; close & official handover.
  • Identify potential customers and develop a business development plan to reach them
  • Close new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations
  • Possess drive, motivation and acute attention to detail in ensuring all sales and revenue opportunities are captured and explored
  • Work in close collaboration with the Sales team for complex large pitches and strategies
  • Manage and maintain a pipeline, ensuring all sales administration is up to date
  • Work effectively with other departments - particularly with Account Managers when handing over new clients, ensuring they are fully briefed in all aspects of the relationship
  • Keeping abreast of client issues and collect market intelligence, including attendance at appropriate networking events
  • Complete all necessary administration associated with job accurately and promptly, including responding to information requests
 
Key Requirements:
  • Excellent selling skills with proven track record over 3 to 5 years, including tendering expertise
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills with ability to multi-task
  • Proven ability to deliver under-pressure/to deadlines on agreed targets
  • Enterprising self-starter, achievement oriented
  • Customer Relationship and Service attitude and demonstrable experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Full Clean Driving license
  • Expected to spend a significant amount of time out of the office
 
Remuneration
The salary range is €50k. The bonus plan is up to 40% of base salary; company car, phone allowance, laptop etc.
